What is a good remote control car for an adult?

My boyfriend wants a remote control car to play around with and i want to get him one that is fun, not as slow as the ones you can get at Toys R US, but also not $400. Does anyone have any good ideas. I am not too savy on the specifications, but i found one from Silverlight that was orignally 120 and not on sale for 40. Here is what it says:

Sounds like a good one. You always want to go with digital proportion controls(as you noted) If there are any hobby shops nearby consider making a trip to one of those… But make sure…whatever you buy.. is no Nitro powered. If you get nitro it requires nitro fuel and some technical skill to operate and use correctly. Silverlit is a good company, it is namebrand. I have bought one of there helicopters before, it was a cheap model. It ran good, although it was two channel.

The 6v 750 mAh NiCd battery means it is fast trust me he will be impressed.
